Growing up and working in a family that owned various meat processing and butchering businesses, Dean learnt first-hand the ups and downs of the cutthroat business world. He began his career in Commerce as a Chartered Accountant for a prominent Chartered Accounting firm in West Perth before moving to the specialist tax consulting division of Arthur Andersen (Ernst Young), and later a boutique firm.

In 1992, together with Paul Skinner, Dean established Pike & Skinner Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers which would go on to grow many times over, providing a platform to think and behave as a business owner, employing staff and servicing many clients.  Dean used his experience and knowledge to make the greatest contribution to his clients to achieve their dreams and be equipped to meet their challenges. In seeking to expand the scope of his advice, and develop a “one stop shop” for his clients, together with Paul, Dean established Pike Skinner Financial Services in 1995 and expanded in 2001 when Tony Munday joined.

Pike Skinner Chartered Accountants and Pike Skinner Financial Services merged with PKF Mack in 2016.
